We've all seen them. Facebook postings by proud parents-to-be of the first ultrasound picture of their wee darling. Seems fairly innocent doesn't it – some lovely news to share with the world?
But it seems this is just the start of the online presence for the next generation. Of a recent international survey of 2,200 mothers, 81% of children under the age of two currently have some form of online presence โ ranging from photos uploaded and shared by their parents, to a full-fledged profile on a social networking site! And a full 92% of children in the U.S. have an online presence by the time they are two!
So, if ever you needed proof that social media is taking off, just consider those stats. Toddlers may indeed be on Tweeter…..and they are your customers of the future. So get social networking now!
