Hi. I’m Liz Melville. Over the last decade, I’ve run Facebook Ads for some of the biggest names in the online coaching space and have coached hundreds of entrepreneurs on how to grow their own businesses as online course creators and experts.
And while I’ve been able to create a thriving business that supports me and my family, I didn’t realize I had tangled myself so deeply in my business that I couldn’t fully get out until crisis hit.
My Mum passed away. And nearly overnight, I was faced with a maelstrom of grief and juggling as I became a full time caretaker for my dad, on top of sorting through my Mum’s estate, processing my own emotions, running ads, supporting the business, dealing with finances, AND taking care of my own family.
My business went into survival mode, and I found myself resenting the fact that there was no one who could help me keep a lot of it running.
I couldn’t NOT work…but I also barely had the capacity to do much of ANYTHING. So I took a revenue cut, did what I needed to do to serve the clients I had, and realized, quite suddenly, that I had built something that required ME to be IN it 24/7 in order for it to succeed.
It was such a wake up call
I needed to do this differently. To strip everything back and restructure my business in a way that didn’t require me to support it without it also supporting me.
